Delete your TaxiPik account
This page is for accounts used with TaxiPik (passengers) and TaxiPik Driver (independent drivers). You do not need to install or sign into either app to request deletion.
Request deletion by email
Email legal@taxipik.com with the subject TaxiPik account deletion request. Include the account email address and which app or apps you use. Sending from your registered account email helps us verify ownership.
If the button does not open an email app, send your request to legal@taxipik.com using your preferred email service. Postal contact information is available in the Privacy Policy. For help reaching us, contact support@taxipik.com.
What happens next
We verify ownership using only proportionate information needed to protect your account and other people's information. Do not send your password or unnecessary identity documents. We may contact you for the information needed to verify your request. Sending the email starts a request; it does not immediately erase the account.
We respond without undue delay and within 45 days after receiving a privacy request, or a shorter applicable legal deadline. If a lawful extension is necessary, we notify you within the required initial period and explain why. You can appeal a denial by emailing legal@taxipik.com with the subject Privacy Request Appeal; we provide a written result within 60 days, or a shorter applicable deadline.
You can also use Delete Account in either app. An unfinished ride may prevent automated deletion; complete or cancel it where possible, or contact support. This is not a blanket refusal of a lawful request. Uninstalling an app does not delete its server account.
Information removed and retained
Deletion disables normal account use and removes identifying profile and authentication information, saved personal information and company-controlled uploads without a justified retained purpose. Ordinary messages you authored are removed or replaced. Independently saved recipient copies cannot be recalled.
Some information can remain for the limited purposes explained in the Privacy Policy, Sections 7 and 8:
- Completed or cancelled journeys, routes, coordinates and erased-account references normally follow the journey lifecycle: approximately 90 days in current storage, 365 days in archive and 365 days in deep archive, about 27 months after the last ordinary ride update, with a short scheduled-cleanup delay.
- Closed ride conversations and block-closed direct messages normally remain visible for up to 90 days after closure and are retained for up to 365 days, followed by cleanup. A specific reported investigation can suspend cleanup. Account erasure is separate from merely hiding a conversation.
- Reported content, case-specific investigation records and binding legal holds can remain until their specific purpose or preservation requirement ends. Necessary security and replay-prevention markers can remain to prevent unauthorized reuse, not for advertising.
- Restricted company backups, if present, follow the policy's rolling limit of up to 90 days from backup creation. Applicable erasure decisions must be reapplied after a restore before ordinary use.
Coordinates and contextual records can remain identifiable after a name is removed. We explain any applicable retained-data exception and its purpose and period or meaningful criterion when handling your request. These rules remain subject to applicable law.
